이것은 중국에 사는 6살 남자 아이의 부모 평가입니다:

“저는 믿어요. 선생님의 가르침을” 선생님한테 가장 해주고 싶은 말이네요, 우선 저희 아이는 동시에 3개 언어를 배우는 아이라, 거부감이 드는게 제일 무서웠어요, 그런데 참 다행인게 선생님을 만나고, 영어를 너무 재미있어 하네요. 물론 아직 너무 긴 시간을 선생님과 함께 한 것은 아니지만, 월화 영어 수업을 기다리는 아이를 보면서 부모로서 너무 다행이다 싶어요. 그리고 아이에 대한 피드백을 너무 열심히 해주셔서 수업에 참여하지 않는 엄마도 너무 정확하게 아이의 현 상태를 알 수 있어요. 그리고, 저희 아이는 아직 어린데 그 나이에 맞는 수업 방식으로 아이가 수업에 집중할 수 있게 만들어주어요. 새로운 언어를 배움에 있어서 가장 중요한 것이 선생님인데 저희는 그걸 이룬거 같아, 너무 행복해요. 그리고 앞으로 선생님과 함께 이뤄낼 성과들이 기다려져요. 감사합니다~

Danielle taught my daughters Seojin and Seoyun ever since they were in 7th grade for about 3 years. She made the classes super exciting by letting my daughters have hands on experiences with science projects. She was also very devoted in her teaching and was there practically at all times through e-mail or Skype to help with my daughter’s class work. She was always so nice and patient about any questions my daughters had. Because of Danielle, my daughters were able to overcome their fear of writing or speaking in English. Thank you!!!

I am currently attending college, and I find sociology readings to be quite challenging. I tried reading them on my own, but it didn't help much. So, I decided to seek help. I started looking for tutors, and although I found a couple, none of them were helpful. I kept searching until I found Daniella. 

After messaging her, she responded promptly and professionally. She asked me what I needed help with, and I explained my trouble with the readings. She not only helped me understand them but also made sure I got the answers right and learned from them. With Daniella, I not only learned but also improved my advanced English skills, which helped me succeed in my semester.

저는 다니엘라로부터 영어 수업을 받은 지 2개월이 되어갑니다. 다니엘라는 한국어를 많이 알고 있는데, 그러한 점이 영어를 썩 잘하지 못 하는 제가 다니엘라로부터 영어 수업을 받는 것에 오히려 도움이 더 되었습니다. 제가 직장일과 집안일로 바쁜 탓에 영어수업 준비를 거의 하지 못 하는 경우가 많은데 다니엘라는 노련한 영어 코치답게 자연스럽게 오간 대화 속에서 흥미 있는 주제를 이끌어내어 그 날의 수업 내용으로 이어나가는 능력이 탁월합니다. 

또한 영어에 서투른 제가 입을 떼어 말하는 것에 부담을 느끼지 않도록 최대한 편안하고 부드러운 분위기를 만들어 주려고 늘 세심하게 배려하는 것이 느껴져서 종종 매우 감사합니다. 덕분에 영어를 말하는 것에 심적 부담을 많이 덜게 되었고 점점 편안해지는 것 같습니다. 조금 더 영어 듣고 말하기가 익숙하고 자연스럽게 여겨질 때까지 열심히 수업에 임할 생각입니다. 

It was 2019 when I first met Danielle by chance.

I was visiting a relative's house when I saw my cousin's niece taking English lessons from Danielle.

Out of curiosity, I asked about her, and I was told that Danielle was not just teaching English conversation, but also preparing her students for college, including English grammar, essay writing, and other skills.

I had seen many Americans teaching English conversation, but it was rare to find one with the expertise to teach at the level of American high school students.

And fortunately, I got the opportunity for my two daughters to also learn English from Danielle.

Due to the geographical limitations between the United States and Korea, the lessons with Danielle were conducted through Skype and Google platforms. However, there was no major difficulty in comparison to face-to-face classes.

In fact, there were some advantages, such as storing the articles that Danielle required each week and the web-based history of feedback on the essays.

Through my daughters, I learned that Danielle's classes not only gave them the opportunity to explore topics requested for college admissions, but also helped them develop breadth of thought and logical completeness. This was helpful not only for learning English in school, but also for learning Korean.

In my opinion, the lessons with Danielle were more about investing in my daughters' futures than just learning English.

Although my daughters can no longer take the classes because the workload required by their school has become too much to handle, I would confidently recommend them to friends who are concerned about their children's futures.

데니얼(Danielle)을 2019년 우연한 기회에 처음 알게 되었습니다.

친척 집에 놀러갔는데, 사촌 조카가 데니얼로부터 영어를 배우고 있었습니다.

호기심에 물어보니, 데니얼(Danielle)은 단순히 영어 회화를 가르치는게 아니라 문법을 포함한 영어 문법, 에세이 쓰기 등 미국 고등학생이 대학을 진학하기 위해 갖추어야 하는 자격을 준비시켜주고 있다고 하였습니다. 

주위에 영어회화를 가르치는 미국인은 흔히 볼 수 있었지만, 미국 고등학생 수준의 전문성을 갖추고 가르치는 것은 드문일이라 눈여겨 보게 되었습니다. 

그리고 친척의 소개로 두 딸도 데니얼(Danielle)로부터 배울 수 있는 기회를 갖게 되었습니다.

데니얼(Danielle)과의 수업은 미국과 한국이라는 지역적 한계 때문에  스카이프와 구글 플랫폼를 통해 이뤄졌지만, 직접 대면하는 수업과 다른 큰 어려움을 없었습니다.

매주 데니얼(Danielle)이 요구하는 Article을 읽고 글에 대한 준비와 Feedback history가 웹상에 남기에 오히려 도움이 되는 부분도 있었습니다.

제 딸을 통해 데니얼(Danielle)과의 수업이 대학진학을 위한 주제를 미리 탐구하는 기회를 갖게 될 뿐 만 아니라, 사고의 폭과 논리적 완결성도 갖출 수 있어서 학교에서 배우는 영어는 물론이고 국어(Korean)를 배울 때도 큰 도움이 된다고 하였습니다.

제 생각엔 데니얼(Danielle)과의 수업은 영어를 배우는 시간이라는 생각보다는 딸의 미래를 위한 투자라는 생각으로 수업을 받게 했던 것 같습니다.

지금은 제 딸의 학교에서 요구하는 학업량이 너무 감당할 수 없을 정도로 많아져 더 이상 수업을 받을 수 없게 되었지만, 주위에 자녀의 미래를 위해 고민하는 친구가 있다면 자신있게 소개해주고 싶은 수업입니다.   

Danielle has taught my daughter for 2 years since she was 4th grader. She is very experienced and knowledgeable. She keeps her lesson effective, engaging and fun. My daughter is able to stay focus and overcome her fear of writing. My daughter really likes Danielle because she is so friendly and nice. My daughter's vocabulary and speaking ability have also improved significantly. We definitely plan to keep working with Danielle.
